This policy explains what personal information Pest Control Specialists ("we", "us") collects when you use this website, call us or book a treatment, how we use it and the rights you have under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).

Who we are

Pest Control Specialists is the data controller for the information described here. You can contact us about your data by calling 020 3369 9469, messaging us on WhatsApp on 07907 590487 or using our contact form.

What we collect

WhatsApp messages: your phone number, name (as shown on WhatsApp) and anything you send us, including photos.
Callback requests: your name, phone number, email address (if you give it), postcode, the pest, your type of home, borough, area and anything you write in the message box.
Phone calls and bookings: your name, contact details, address, access arrangements and details of the pest problem.
Treatment records: what we found, what we did and any products we used, which we're required to keep.
Payments: the details needed to take and record your payment.

How we use it

To call you back, give you a price and arrange a visit (so we can take steps you've asked for before a contract, and then carry out the contract).
To carry out treatments, follow-up visits and any guarantee visits.
To keep accounts and treatment records that the law requires (legal obligation).
To deal with questions or complaints about our service (legitimate interests).

We don't sell your information, and we don't use it for marketing unless you ask us to.

Who we share it with

FormSubmit (formsubmit.co): our callback form is delivered to us by email through FormSubmit, so the details you enter pass through their service. FormSubmit may process data outside the UK. See their privacy policy on formsubmit.co.
WhatsApp (Meta): if you message us on WhatsApp, your messages are handled under WhatsApp's own privacy policy.
Our email and phone providers, which store the messages and calls we receive.
Our website host, which keeps standard server logs (such as IP addresses) for security.
Our accountant and HMRC, where needed for tax and accounting.
Anyone we're required to share it with by law.

Cookies and browser storage

This website doesn't use advertising or tracking cookies. It uses your browser's storage to remember two small things: whether you chose "Flat" or "House" in the price switcher, and whether you closed the offer box. This information stays on your device and isn't sent to us.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that don't lead to a booking: up to 12 months.
Customer, treatment and payment records: 6 years after the job, for tax and legal reasons.

Your rights

You can ask to see the information we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, restrict or object to how we use it, or receive a copy to pass to someone else. Contact us using any of the details above and we'll reply within one month.

If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113. We'd appreciate the chance to put things right first.

We'll update this page if the way we use your information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
