Ant Control in Wandsworth: what we see locally
Black garden ants nest in back gardens and under paving, and come into kitchens in summer. Wandsworth's terraced houses with side-return extensions are often affected.
In heated buildings, we also find pharaoh ants, which need specialist baiting. We identify the species first.
Wandsworth's terraced houses often have side-return extensions with glass roofs and bi-fold doors onto paved gardens, and colonies nesting under the patio send ants straight into the kitchen. If they appear in the same spot each summer, the nest is close by.
Where we find ants in Wandsworth
- Side-return extensions: Ants enter where extensions meet the house.
- Paved back gardens: Colonies nest under paving.
- Garden flats: Back doors let ants in.
- Heated blocks: Pharaoh ants spread through warm buildings.
