Moth Control in Hillingdon: what we see locally
Clothes moths are increasingly common in Hillingdon homes, helped by central heating that lets them breed all year. The larvae feed on wool, silk, cashmere and other natural fibres.
We see moth damage most in larger homes in Northwood, Ruislip and Ickenham, where wool carpets and rugs are common, and in spare rooms and lofts where clothes are stored for long periods. Our treatment targets wardrobes, under beds, carpet edges and rugs, and we give advice on cleaning and storage.
Where we find moths in Hillingdon
- Wardrobes and drawers: Wool and silk clothes that aren't worn often are the first to be damaged.
- Wool carpets under furniture: Larvae feed where vacuums rarely reach.
- Rugs: Natural-fibre rugs are often damaged on the underside first.
- Lofts and suitcases: Stored clothes and blankets can harbour moths.
Our moth control service covers the whole of Hillingdon, including Eastcote, Harefield, Harlington, Hayes, Hillingdon, Ickenham, Northwood, Ruislip, Uxbridge, West Drayton and Yiewsley, with same-day or next-day visits.
