Moth Control in Brent: what we see locally
Clothes moths feed on wool, silk, cashmere and other natural fibres, and central heating lets them breed all year. In Brent, silk saris, wool shawls and occasion wear stored between weddings and festivals are as much at risk as carpets and rugs.
We see moth damage in family homes across Wembley, Kingsbury and Kenton, in the larger Edwardian houses of Queen's Park and Kensal Rise with wool carpets and rugs, and in homes where vintage clothes have been brought in. We treat the affected rooms, including wardrobes, under beds and carpet edges, and give advice on cleaning and storage.
Where we find moths in Brent
- Wardrobes and suitcases of occasion wear: Silk and wool garments stored for long periods are a favourite target.
- Wool carpets under furniture: Larvae feed where vacuums rarely reach.
- Rugs in Queen's Park homes: Natural-fibre rugs are often damaged on the underside first.
- Lofts and storage: Stored blankets and clothes can harbour moths for years.
Our moth control service covers the whole of Brent, including Alperton, Dollis Hill, Harlesden, Kensal Green, Kilburn, Kingsbury, Neasden, Queen's Park, Queensbury, Stonebridge, Wembley and Willesden, with same-day or next-day visits.
Keeping moths out of Brent homes
Clean clothes before storing them, as larvae are drawn to food and sweat stains. Keep wool and silk in sealed garment bags, vacuum under furniture regularly and use pheromone traps in wardrobes to spot activity early.
How we treat moths
- Inspection to identify the species and hotspots
- Preparation guide for wardrobes, drawers and carpets
- Residual spray and/or smoke treatment of affected rooms
