Bed Bug Treatment in Barnet: what we see locally
Barnet has a huge population, two branches of the Northern line and good links to the M1, which means bed bugs regularly arrive here in luggage, on public transport and in second-hand furniture.
We treat bed bugs in family homes, rented flats, student accommodation near Middlesex University in Hendon and shared houses throughout the borough. Our technicians inspect every room you'd like checked and treat mattresses, bed frames, headboards, sofas and skirting boards, then return to make sure the infestation has gone.
Where we find bed bugs in Barnet
- Student houses and flats in Hendon: Shared accommodation and frequent moves raise the risk of bed bugs.
- Rented flats in Colindale and Edgware: New tenants can bring bed bugs with their belongings.
- Homes after holidays: Suitcases unpacked on beds are a common way bed bugs get in.
- Second-hand furniture: Used beds and sofas are one of the main sources we find.
Our bed bug treatment service covers the whole of Barnet, including Childs Hill, Chipping Barnet, Colindale, East Barnet, East Finchley, Edgware, Finchley, Friern Barnet, Golders Green, Hendon, Mill Hill, New Barnet, North Finchley, Totteridge and Whetstone, with same-day or next-day visits.
Keeping bed bugs out of Barnet homes
Inspect any second-hand bed, sofa or headboard before bringing it home. When travelling, check hotel mattresses and keep luggage on a stand rather than the floor or bed. Landlords of student lets in Hendon and HMOs elsewhere in Barnet can reduce the risk by using mattress encasements and checking rooms between tenants.
